The 13 Things Project with Allie - The Introduction

Hey everyone!
I'm really excited to announce a project that me and my friend Allie from Reckless are going to be starting together.
I recently read the book Since You've Been Gone by Morgan Matson (you can read what I thought about the book in My January Favourites 2015).
In this book one of the girls goes away for the summer and leaves her best friend a list of 13 things to do.  I thought that this would be a really cool thing to turn into a blogging project.
So, I emailed my awesome friend Allie and she was totally up for the idea.  We've sent each other lists of 13 things for the other person to complete and it can be completed in any order.
We decided that the lists could be absolutely anything (although we decided pretty early on that extreme things were maybe out of the question, like climbing a volcano - something that still makes me laugh when I read Allie's email!).
We're going to be sharing our adventures on our blogs and Instagram using #thirteenthingsproject.
We'll be sharing photos and, interesting (maybe even slightly crazy) stories about what we get up too.

Here is the list that Allie has sent to me:

1. Send a letter to a random address OR send a letter to a well-known person
2. Give music.
3. Go somewhere unknown.
4. Plan out your dream trip - really plan it out, with actual dates and places.
5. Compliment a stranger.
6. Read The Shack, Pride and Prejudice, or Eat, Pray, Love. (Or all three!).
7. Learn basic phrases in a totally new language.  Bonus: use them!
8. Treat yourself - and a few friends - to a ridiculously relaxing at-home spa night.  Soak your feet, do facials, watch chick flicks, eat chocolate.
9. Buy a journal and fill it with dreams for your life in five, ten, and fifty years.  Make it pretty!
10. Go to a concert.  It doesn't have to be a big deal - a small, free one in a park or something will work.
11. Go twenty-four hours without your phone.  Use the time to do a project that you've been wanting to do.
12. Pretend to be a tourist in Edinburgh - go everywhere a newcomer would go, and take pictures in front of EVERYTHING.
13. Watch your favourite movie from when you were a little kid.
There are quite a few things on this list which I might find a little difficult to complete - learn a new language and 24 hours without my phone.
And there are some that I'm extremely excited for.  Go to a concert and read 3 books I've never read before - yes please!

I'm unbelievably excited to start this project (from today) and I can't wait to share what I get up too with all of you.  And I'm really excited to be doing a project with Allie cause she's such a great friend.

You can read Allie's post about the project as well as the list that I sent her here.

My January Favourites 2015

Hi everyone!
This month has been pretty stressful for me but I've been trying my best to make sure I have time for the things I enjoy doing.  Even if that does mean listening to music full blast when I'm on the bus to college - I need something to keep me awake!  Or putting up with people reading over my shoulder when I'm reading in public (a big pet peeve of mine).
This month's favourites post is pretty long but I hope you enjoy it none the less.
YouTube Channels
I love Will's channel.  His videos are really unique and, it's clear watching any of his videos that he puts a lot of time and thought into what he's making.
I've been subscribed to his channel since he set it up and I'd definitely say that he's one of my favourite YouTube creators.  I feel that Will is sort of the British YouTube version of Adam Elmakias.
You can check out Will's channel here.

Daniel J Layton
Daniel is probably one of my favourite vloggers on YouTube because he never fails to make me laugh.  I think he has a really unique sense of humour which in turn makes his videos really unique.
If you ever need cheered up then head over to Daniel's channel because he'll put a smile on your face for sure, either with his amazing singing or funny vlogs.
You can check out Daniel's channel here.

I have loved Gary's channel this month (like I do every month to be honest).  He's made quite a few videos this month that have really made me think about things in a new perspective.
Gary's videos are very thought provoking and have made me have a serious think about topics I would normally glance over.
I'd highly recommend watching Gary's most recent videos as the way he's filmed them and his personality make them very unique and, may even challenge you to think about things in a new light.
You can check out Gary's channel here.

Rock N Roses
I have so much love for Siobhan and her blog Rock 'N' Roses.  Not only has her blog really inspired me to up my photography game but, it's also helped me to realise and learn a lot about blogging.  Also, she has an amazing sense of style and her eyeliner game is hella strong!  In case you want somewhere specific to start then I'd highly recommend reading Siobhan's post Be The Heroine Of Your Own Story.
You can have a nosy around Siobhan's blog here.

Delight & Be
The theme on Delight & Be recently has been community and it's really made me think about a lot of different aspects of my life.
I don't really want to talk about Delight & Be a lot because it's the sort of blog that you just need to have a look around for yourself, which I'd highly recommend.
You can do that here.

We Are The In Crowd
I have so much love for We Are The In Crowd and especially, their album Weird Kids.  I bought this album at the end of last month and I have played it on repeat quite a few times now.
I'm not going to say a lot about Weird Kids because I'm going to do that in a separate post otherwise we could be here for a very long time.
The one thing I will say is that even if you're not a fan of this band or this style of music, you should definitely listen to this album because it really is incredible.

You Me At Six & All Time Low
I'm seeing All Time Low and You Me At Six next month (in exactly 2 weeks!) so I've been listening to them a lot this month, in particular their most recent albums.   I have been loving both these bands this month and I'm unbelievably excited (and actually quite nervous) to see them live.
Their music (especially All Time Low in particular) is music which I love and can really connect with, the studio versions of their music are incredible and hearing it live will (most probably) be an amazing experience.

Miranda Hart's My, What I Call, Live Show
Sorry for the outburst there, I'll try to compose myself now.  I absolutely love Miranda Hart and was gutted when her sitcom ended at the beginning of this year.  But luckily me and a few friends had a cosy night in with here Live Show DVD from the O2 Arena and, some much needed Ben & Jerry's ice cream.  This DVD was brilliant and had me crying with laughter, I'd highly recommend watching it especially for fans of Miranda or, if you need a DVD to cheer you up.

 A Little Something Different
Sandy Hall
I love this book so, so much!!!!
I finished this book in less than a day because I loved it that much!  I think the idea of telling the story from 14 points of view was a really interesting way to write this.
At first I really wasn't sure about it because I was getting a little confused about who was who but after the first few pages I got into the flow of the story and I couldn't stop.
I really like how Sandy Hall took a while to reveal things about Gabe's past because it kept me really hooked on the story.
I also loved all the other characters in the book and how their personalities helped to make the relationship between Lea and Gabe even more interesting than it already was.
This is a great read, especially if you're looking for an interesting but not typical love story.

Since You've Been Gone
Morgan Matson
I'll admit that at first I wasn't sure if this book was for me and it took me a while to properly start reading it.  But once Emily found the list from Sloane and marked her first item off I was really loving the story, I was hooked from then on.
I think the idea for this book is original and absolutely brilliant. I also love the characters and how they all have their own individual, distinct characteristics and personalities.
I'd recommend this book for anyone that wants a read that's a little unpredictable, with summer adventure and romance.

Billy & Me Collection
Giovanna Fletcher
You may have seen on my instagram that my friend let me borrow her collection of books by Giovanna Fletcher.  I've wanted to read her books for a while but I never got round to it.  But then my friend said I could borrow her copies and I let her borrow some of my Sarah Dessen books.
I decided to read Billy & Me first and I loved it.
I loved the early stages of Sophie and Billy's relationship and I think their first date was so cute.
I'd definitely recommend this for anyone who's looking for a romantic read with a twist but, it's definitely for older readers.
I also read the novella Christmas With Billy & Me (even though it's January) and I think it's just so lovely, although it didn't end how I expected it too. I still loved it.

You're The One That I Want
Giovanna Fletcher
I'll admit that I didn't love this book as much as I did Billy & Me but, once I got into the story I was hooked.  This is a beautiful but complex love story.  I found myself constantly changing my mind about the main characters, their stories are so exciting and you never know what's round the next corner for them.  I loved how this was written in different perspectives with parts of the wedding speeches included.   This book was really good but again, definitely for older readers.

I hope you enjoyed reading about what I've been loving this month, let me know in the comments what some of your favourite things have been this January, I love hearing from you.

My January Playlist 2015

Hey everyone!
This month has been so busy for me!  I've had a lot of work going on for college and I'm working on a few exciting things for my blog - one of which you'll be finding out about really soon and involves my lovely friend Allie.
But thanks to long bus journeys to and from college I get a few hours each week when I can listen to music or read a good book.

There has been SO MIUCH music that I have been loving this month.  So, that means that this playlist is really freaking long!  But I hope you all like it anyway.

We Are The In Crowd - Reflections
You Me At Six - Carpe Diem

All Time Low - Something's Gotta Give

Fall Out Boy - Irresistible

We Are The In Crowd - Don't You Worry

You Me At Six - Wild Ones

Issues - Never Lose Your Flames

Dodie Clark - A Permanent Hug

Fall Out Boy - Favourite Record

PVRIS - Ghosts

Fall Out Boy - Jet Pack Blues

All Time Low - To Live & Let Go

You Me At Six - Fresh Start Fever

We Are The In Crowd - Come Back Home

PVRIS - Mirrors

Tessa Violet & Meghan Tonjes - Affected

Dodie Clark - Paint

You Me At Six - Be Who You Are

As It Is - Dial Tones

PVRIS - Let Them In

All Time Low - Paint You Wings

We Are The In Crowd - Remember (To Forget You)

frnkiero andthe cellabration - Joyriding

I love, love, love Dodie Clark!  I've talked about her music a lot here on my blog and I'm quite happily going to again.
Dodie's music is different from a lot of the music that I listen too but at the same time it really isn't.  Instrumentally, yes her music is very different because it's just her voice and her ukulele.  But lyrically her music is the same as a lot of the other artists that I listen too because her lyrics are so true and, raw with emotion.  Dodie writes songs about anything and everything, from makeup to falling in love with someone you're not sure you should have fallen for.
Her voice is beautiful and fits perfectly with the music she writes.  If you haven't listened to Dodie before then seriously, go and give her a listen because her music is amazing.
You can listen to her music on her YouTube channel here.
You might remember from last months playlist that I had just started to listen to We Are The In Crowd when I wrote that playlist.
Now I'm at the stage where I've bought one of their albums, I desperately want to see them live and I'd definitely say that they are one of my favourite bands.
I think what I really love about this band is that their lyrics are raw and real,  their vocal harmonies are freaking incredible and the drumming is insanely amazing.
I've fallen completely in love with their album Weird Kids and could hands down say it's one of my favourite albums.  I feel the same way about this album that I do for Simple Plan's 'Get Your Heart On!' album and All Time Low's album 'Don't Panic!' - which is a lot of love and appreciation.

At the end of last month I bought my first You Me At Six album to add to my collection.  I bought their album 'Cavalier Youth' and I'm really loving it.
Cavalier Youth is a really incredible album in that there is definitely an underlying sound but at the same time every song on there is unique.
This has made me really excited to see them live next month because I think that these are the sort of songs that may even sound better live than in the studio.
Oh my goodness, All Time Low!  You may remember from my post earlier this month about All Time Low's new single that I've been loving their music this month (as I do basically every month).
They released Something's Gotta Give this month and as I predicted after listening to it for the first time, I was playing it on repeat for a few days.
Since I ordered my tickets to see All Time Low I've been counting down the days till the concert.  But this month my excitement has tripled because they released new music, I've fallen in love with their album 'Don't Panic!' all over again and my tickets for the concert arrived!

At the end of last month I started listening to PVRIS and I listened to more of their music this month and I absolutely love them.  I've been really liking their song 'Ghosts' in particular and, I really want to get a copy of their album White Noise now.
I find a lot of their music to have quite a haunting sound which makes it sound really beautiful.  Also, although they're similar to a lot of the bands that I listen too, the haunting sound of their music makes them really stand out as a band which I love,*/*/American-Beauty-American-Psycho/3MKF0000000

This album!!  This month Fall Out Boy released their album American Beauty/American Psycho and you may have seen from my instagram that I love this album.  I haven't got my own physical copy yet but I'm hoping to get it soon.
American Beauty American Psycho shows how versatile yet talented they are, and how they’re not afraid to try absolutely anything as a band.
I've been particularly loving 'Jet Pack Blues' and 'Favourite Record' and, I'd highly recommend giving them (or the entire album) a listen.

I hope you enjoyed my (quite long) playlist for this month.  I hope the first month of 2015 has been good for everyone.  Let me know in the comments what music you've been listening too lately, I'd love to find more artists to listen too.

What Is Love?

What is love?

Love is a feeling.
We feel love for the people that we are close too.
We feel love for our favourite drink from Starbucks.
We feel love for the music that makes us feel alive.
And we feel love for the stories that we know will stay with us forever.
We feel love for our jumper with its stretched sleeves and fraying edges, because it is cosy and comfortable.
We feel love for people that we have never met.
We feel love for the sports teams we support.
We feel love for our favourite foods.
We feel love for our pets.
We feel love for moments that happened in our past.
We feel love for the photos and videos that allow us to capture these moments.
We can feel love for a lifetime.
We can feel for five minutes.
Love is a feeling.

What is love?
Love is a word.
Love is a word which is thrown around with carelessness and reckless abandon.
Love is a word which carries a lot of weight.
Love is a word which is as light as a feather.
Love is a word with no single definition.
Love is a word that some people long to hear spoken to them.
Love is a number written next to a social media post.
Love is a word that is screamed.
Love is a word that is sang.
Love is a word that is written on a note which is passed across a classroom.
Love is a word that is inked onto skin.
Love is a word that is typed
Love is a word that is whispered under the stars.
Love is a word.

What is love?
Love is physical.
Love is a hug.
Love is a warm blanket on a cold night.
Love is a place that we visit because that place is close to our hearts.
Love is our favourite book with its tattered corners, which we will never be able to re-read enough times.
Love is our first pair of shoes, sometimes treasured by a member of our family after we've outgrown them.
Love is a kiss.
Love is the blood which runs through our veins, which may have once belonged to someone else - donated, so that we can live.
Love is the teddy bear that you have owned for as long as you can remember.
Love is the brushstrokes on a canvas, leaving marks of paint to create something beautiful.
Love is represented in an object.
Love is represented in a gesture.
Love is finding the courage to hold someone's hand for the first time.
Love is physical.

What is love?
Love is given.
Love is received.
Love is hurtful.
Love is magical.
Love is pushed away.
Love is creative.
Love is devastating.
Love is overwhelming.
Love is complex.
Love is beautiful.
Love is scary.
Love is taken away.
Love is felt.
Love is wished for.
Love is captured.
Love is hidden.
Love is difficult to understand.
Love is fearless.
Love is fought for.
Love is missed.
Love is put on display.
Love is messy.
Love is forgiving.
Love is a placeholder.
Love is powerful.

What is love?
Love is so many things.

Introducing: A Spotlight On...

Hey everyone!

I'm really excited to introduce you all to something I've been wanting to start on Carolyn's Simple Life for a while now.
That something is 'A Spotlight On...'.

For a while now I've been wanting to write posts where I focus on an individual artist or song but I had no idea how I wanted to do this.
So, I decided to sit down for a while and have a think about what I wanted to do and how I could fit this into my blog.

You may have seen earlier in the week that I posted about All Time Low's new song 'Something's Gotta Give'.   I really enjoyed writing this post and I got some really nice feedback about this post, which grounded my initial ideas for this type of post.

I finally decided on the idea and name of 'A Spotlight On...'.
Every so often I'll write a post about one specific artist or song that I'm really liking.  I'll still be doing my monthly playlists and album dissections alongside these posts.
These posts will be spontaneous and I can't guarantee that I'll write them every month like I do with my playlists (although I might change this if you enjoy them).  The first post for this little project should be up very soon (let's view the 'Something's Gotta Give' post as a practice run shall we?).
I hope you all like this idea and please let me know in the comments if you have any ideas I could add to this, I want you to enjoy these posts as much as I do.

First Impressions: Something's Gotta Give by All Time Low

Hey everyone!

Last night All Time Low released the music video for their new single 'Something's Gotta Give'.
This is the first song they've released from their upcoming album 'Future Hearts' which is being released in April.

I was really scared about hearing this song.  I had really high expectations for this song and, I also have really high expectations for 'Future Hearts' as an album since it's the follow up from one of my favourite albums ever which is All Time Low's 'Don't panic!'.

I absolutely love 'Something's Gotta Give'!  I have a feeling it's going to be stuck in my head for a few days and that's something I'm not gonna complain about.
Lyrically, it has All Time Low written all over it and it's freaking amazing.
The first time I listened to it I really wasn't sure about the opening guitar riff (I thought it sounded very 'Marianas Trench' which isn't a bad thing because I love 'Marianas Trench' - I just wasn't expecting that sound from All Time Low).
One thing I really love about the guitar in this song (from the opening riff to the very end) is the strong combination of both electric guitar and acoustic guitar.

As soon as the vocals and bass kicked in, I was hooked.
The chorus is brilliant and the verses are catchy and, I love the fit between the vocals and the instruments during the verses.  I also wasn't expecting piano highlights in the first section of the second verse but I think it's brilliant.
I also really love the bridges before the chorus - the lyrics, vocals and instrumental are really catchy.

I think the middle 8 wasn't what I expected in this song but surprisingly I think it fits perfectly with the rest of the song.
As always, with almost every All Time Low song, I'm in love with the chorus that follows straight after the middle 8, because atmospherically the vocals and percussion are freaking incredible!
All in all, I love this song completely.  Vocally, instrumentally and atmospherically I think it's great.

I think this song was a great choice to be the first release after 'Don't Panic!' and 'Don't Panic: It's Longer Now!'.  It's made me extremely excited to hear the new album 'Future Hearts', it's a great choice as the first release from the album.  If you want to pre-order the album you can do that here.

VIDEO PRE-WARNING: If you feel uncomfortable when watching things that have blood and are kind of gore-y then please don't watch the video as later on it contains a lot of this.

As far as All Time Low goes, this is exactly the sort of video I was expecting from them which is why I love it.  I really wasn't expecting them to be zombies in the end but I think this is perfect because it brings in the zombie theme from the artwork for 'Don't Panic!'.
The video is fun and had me smiling the whole way through!  And I'd have to say that my favourite shots were probably the group performance shots.  Although it was weird to see them performing while wearing full on zombie makeup!

I hope you enjoyed this spontaneous post - I've just typed it up after watching the video for the first time!  Let me know in the comments what you think of the song and the video, I'd love to hear from you.

My Glamour Kills Clothing Wishlist | January 2015

Hey everyone!

I've recently started posting fashion wishlist's such as my Autumn Wardrobe Wishlist and my Winter Wardrobe Wishlist. Something that I've decided to try is making Wishlist's for particular brands as well as seasons.
One of my favourite clothes websites to browse through has to be Glamour Kills Clothing
One of my favourite things about Glamour Kills is the range of clothing that they have but also the alternative style as well.
So I thought I'd share with you some of the items from Glamour Kills Clothing that I would love to add to my wardrobe.

Do Or Dye Raglan Shirt
I love tie dye!  The tie dye/splash effect on the sleeves and chest pocket brings a really nice effect to this shirt.  I love the colours that have been used because they're interesting without being overpowering.  I also love the style and material of this shirt, I have one that's the same and it's so comfy to wear, especially if you know it's going to be a long day and you're out and about.
You can buy this shirt here.

Cruise On Denim Vest Black
I've never really been one for only wearing short sleeves, I can almost always be found wearing my trusty black hoodie over whatever top I've thrown on that day.  But when I saw this on the website it caught my eye.  I think it would go really nicely with a bright or patterned t-shirt and some (maybe ripped) black skinny jeans or, maybe even a black skater skirt with some biker boots.
You can buy this vest here.
Live Fast Raglan Shirt from the AWG Winter Line 2014
As an All Time Low fan I'm always excited when Alex Gaskarth releases new clothes for his Glamour Kills line.  When I saw this shirt I really liked it because I love the fading splash of colour on the rose.  And also because the image of the rose reminds of one of my favourite All Time Low songs which is 'Painting Flowers' (if you've not heard it I highly recommend you listen to it because it's freaking beautiful).
You can buy this shirt here.

The Jenna Surplus Jacket
Like I was when I found out Alex Gaskarth works with Glamour Kills, I was equally excited when I found out Tonight Alive's Jenna McDougall was as well.
Jenna has been both a life and fashion inspiration of mine since I started listening to Tonight Alive.  I love Jenna's fashion sense and would quite happily own her wardrobe!
I think what I like about this is that the pink leopard print on the inside of the hood and jacket adds a really nice detail to the jacket, even if pink isn't one of my favourite colours to wear.
You can buy this jacket here.

Native Vibes Pocket Tee
Another big fashion inspiration of mine is Tay Jardine from We Are The In Crowd.  I'd quite happily combine Tay and Jenna's wardrobe collections and keep them for myself!
I'm not the sort of person who wears bright clothing so I really love that this is a dark top but I also the love the patterned, colourful detailing on the chest pocket.
The material used for this t-shirt also looks super comfy.
You can buy this t-shirt here.

 Dreamer Throwback Fleece
Crewneck jumper!  Crewneck jumper!  Crewneck jumper!
You might remember from my Winter Wardrobe Wishlist that I really, really want a crewneck jumper.  When I saw this jumper on the website I was so happy to see this item because it has one simple statement on it, and also because that statement is 'Dreamer'.  I would love to own this jumper.
The only issue I have with this jumper is that it's only available in white, because it's easy to get dirty and I'd prefer to have it in black with white writing.  But I'd still buy it in white because I do really like this jumper.
You can buy this jumper here.
Pushing Daisies Dress
I really am not one to wear dresses.  I feel my most comfortable when I'm wearing jeans but I really am trying my best to widen the types of clothing in my wardrobe.  Even if that means venturing into the world of dresses and skirts.
What I like about this dress is that only the skirt is patterned and also that it has 3 quarter length sleeves.  I prefer to have long sleeves or to wear a cardigan or hoodie if I'm wearing short sleeves.  I also really like the daisy pattern on the skirt and the exposed elastic waistband gives the dress a really nice finish.
You can buy this dress here
Floral Tay Bomber Jacket
Another Tay Jardine item that I love from Glamour Kills is this leather jacket.  I've wanted a leather jacket for a while but, I never bothered buying one after I got my Miss Selfridges army canvas jacket.
I love the floral detailing on the inside of the jacket as I think it gives it a nice feminine touch to an item that can sometimes be seen as quite rocker, I also love that this detailing makes it quite interesting and makes the jacket a sort of statement piece.
You can buy this jacket here.

Skyline Dreamer Racerback Tank Top
I love, love, love the slogan on this shirt.  Since reading a post on Harel's blog called 'Dream Big and Shoot for the Stars' (you can read the post here and I highly recommend you do) I've been feeling quite motivated with my writing, both creative and blogging, as from a young age it's something that I've loved.  But I'm also starting to feel very passionate about my photography as well.
I think it's important for people to have dreams and to have the opportunity to follow those dreams.
I feel as though this is a slogan which I live by in my head but is one that I need to start living in reality.
The photograph used on this vest top is perfect for the slogan, the only thing I would change about this item is that I'd prefer it as a t-shirt rather than a vest.
You can buy this t-shirt here.

Skyline Dreamers Baseball Raglan Shirt
This is probably one of my absolute favourites from Glamour Kills.  Similar to the vest top above I fell in love with this shirt for its slogan.  But also because I adore the beautiful galaxy photo that is printed on the back.  This is probably one of my favourite items from Glamour Kills both for the design but also because I like the style of the shirt as well.  Although it's a little annoying that the design is on the back of the shirt which would be covered if worn with a jumper or if someone has long hair.
You can buy this shirt here.

 Feel Good Lost V-Neck Tee
I love the photograph of the woods on this t-shirt and I think that the slogan fits the photograph really well.  I also like that the entire design, including the Glamour Kills logo is in black and white and that this colour scheme suits the design really well.
You can buy this t-shirt here.

Flower Child Throwback Crew Fleece
Another crewneck jumper *insert my squeal of excitement here* which I really like (although not as much as the 'Dreamer' jumper).  I love how the flower design is only on the sleeves because I think that otherwise it could be a little overpowering and maybe even slightly in your face.
But the design layout on this jumper is simple yet effective which is what I really like.
You can buy this jumper here.

We Are Infinite Scoop T-Shirt
When I saw this t-shirt the first thing that I thought of was 'The Perks Of Being A Wallflower' which is both one of my favourite books and films (and probably my favourite book to screen adaptation).  This is one of the most well known quotes from 'The Perks Of Being A Wallflower' and I think that this design is lovely.
I also love the fading colours on the main body of the t-shirt.  I think the scoop neckline is an interesting one to have for this design but that it suits the t-shirt really well.
You can buy this t-shirt here

Mini Dreamer Patch
I'm currently at the stage where I'm trying to decide whether I want to start sewing patches onto my Vans Rucksack or onto my black hoodie.  Although I originally wanted to start with some band logo patches, I think it might be nicer to actually start with some other patches instead.
Like you've already read in this post, I think that it's important for people to follow their dreams and I think that this patch shows this.
You can buy this patch here.

Mini Stay Weird Patch
Another patch that I like is this 'Stay Weird' patch.  When I first saw it I thought of We Are The In Crowd's album 'Weird Kids'.  This is an album which I've fallen in love with and I was really happy when I saw this patch because it reminds me of this album.  I also think the font used for the text on the patch is perfect for the slogan.
You can buy this patch here.

I hope you've enjoyed reading my Glamour Kills Clothing wishlist, let me know in the comments which item was your favourite.
Be sure to check out the Glamour Kills Clothing website which you can view here.

A New Year: Looking Back & Looking Forward | 2015

Hey everyone!
I've started this post with the quote that I ended with for my new years resolutions post last year.  This year I'm not setting any resolutions, I just want to start this year and see where it takes me.  Yes, there are things that I want to happen this year but I'm not making them into resolutions because that really isn't for me.
I want to look back at 2014 and then look forward at 2015.  And then I want to look to this point next year.  I want this year to be a good year but I'm not giving myself resolutions that I don't think I'll achieve.
Looking Back At 2014
I don't really know where to start to be honest.  The 365 days that made up 2014 were a real mixture because they were busy, exciting, scary, upsetting, amazing, quiet and a lot of other things as well.
I think the biggest thing for me this year was deciding to leave high school early.  I am now part way through my one year college course which I'm doing instead of my final high school year.
Leaving high school earlier than I had always intended was probably one of the best decisions I've ever made, even though it meant not finishing 2 of my qualifications.  I'm a lot happier now that I'm not there and I'm finding college to be a much better learning environment for me.
Musically, I think the biggest highlight for me had to be seeing Tonight Alive in concert.
Seeing one of my favourite bands in concert meant so much to me and it really was an incredible experience to see and hear them live because they put everything into these performances.  You can read more about this concert here.
Another big thing for me this year was finding so much music that was new to me.  I started listening to so many amazing artists such as We Are The In Crowd, Shatterproof, Dodie Clark, 7 Minutes In Heaven and You Me At Six.
This year has been amazing for me in terms of blogging.  I've got to interview some really amazing artists such as Nikk Banos from Defy You Stars.  I've made some really amazing friends from blogging such as Allie and all the lovely girls from Beau Bloggers.  I somehow managed to reach over 100 followers on Bloglovin' which still blows my mind.
And I personally feel as though my blogging has improved a lot from what it was like at this point last year.
I made some really amazing friends last year, although I did lose a lot of close friends.  I've learnt who my real friends are and this was really difficult for me at some points.  But it means that I now have a small number of really close friends who mean a lot to me.
I was also really happy when I got to meet up with my friend Esmee (you can read a bit about that here) and we had a really nice time together.  You can read her blog here.
Looking Forward At 2015
On new years eve I was sitting at my local harbour in the freezing cold with my big cousin.  We were waiting till midnight so we could see the fireworks in Edinburgh.  I didn't know how to feel but then I felt really scared because I know that 2015 is going to be a big year for me.
Halfway through this year I will finish my college course and I need to decide what I'm going to do at the end of this course.  This is really starting to scare me because I honestly have no idea what I want to do.  I only have a bunch of very random ideas of where I could go and what I could do.
I need to sit down and have really serious think about where I want to be, what I want to be doing and how to get there.
This year I will be turning the official adult age of 18.  This scares me a little bit but it also makes me quite excited as well.  I think because I'm turning 18 and that I'm going to be making some sort of big choice about what to do with my life after college that this may be the year that I move out.
This also makes me feel quite scared but also excites me as I feel that I've reached a stage in my life when I need to start being independent, otherwise I may never become an independent person.
Also, I live in a very small town and I know for certain that I really don't want to live here my whole life, I want to try living somewhere else and I want to meet new people and see new places.
I know that although I am really scared about 2015, I still have a lot to be looking forward too.
In February I'm going to see All Time Low and You Me At Six in concert, just a few weeks before my 18th birthday.
I still have just over 5 months left of my college course which I'm looking forward too because so far I'm really enjoying my course, although I don't know if it's definitely what I want to do as a job but I've recently realised that that's okay.
I also want to really improve my photography.  I'm getting a new camera soon and I'm planning on taking at least three photos a day to try and build my portfolio.
I also know that no matter what, this time next year I still want to be blogging.  This tiny little space on the internet means so much to me and I want to keep writing here for as long as I can.  I have a lot of ideas for my blog for this year, one of which I'm quite excited for and that I'll be sharing with you all pretty soon.
I also want to focus on my creative writing more because I have ideas in my head, I just need to start putting them on paper.
I really hope that this time next year I can look back on 2015 and smile, cringe and laugh.
I want to look back and see moments when I was happy, brave, sad, excited, spontaneous and just plain old stupid.
I want to look back and see that I've made new friends, seen new places and discovered even more amazing music to listen too.
I feel as though this video by Emma Blackery explains what I want this year to be for me, and I hope that it helps you too.
Let me know in the comments what you want to do in 2015 and maybe we can all help each other out with what we all want 2015 to be.
